Now Hiring: Head of Cost Management

Key Responsibilities

Cost Strategy & Governance

• Develop and lead cost management strategies across all residential brands and development projects.
• Establish the organization's cost management framework and cost control standards.
• Define target costs aligned with sales objectives, profitability, and return on investment.
• Drive continuous cost optimization and improvement initiatives.

Budget Planning & Cost Control

• Manage and control project budgets from feasibility studies through project completion.
• Prepare Cost Plans, Budget Forecasts, and Cost Monitoring Reports.
• Analyze cost variances and implement corrective actions.
• Manage project contingency budgets and cost-related risks.

Procurement & Contract Management

• Collaborate with the Procurement team to develop sourcing and procurement strategies.
• Analyze material and contractor costs to maximize value and cost efficiency.
• Oversee bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and contract administration.
• Develop and maintain cost databases for materials, contractors, and market benchmarks.

Value Engineering

• Collaborate with Product Development, Design, and Construction teams to implement Value Engineering initiatives.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality, project standards, or customer experience.
• Promote the adoption of innovative materials, technologies, and construction methods that improve cost efficiency.

Business Intelligence & Analytics

• Develop and maintain the company's construction cost database and cost indices.
• Analyze market trends in material prices, labor costs, and construction expenses.
• Prepare analytical reports to support executive decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Procurement, or Project Controls.
• At least 5 years of management experience.
• Proven experience in residential real estate development or large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ, Cost Estimation, Budgeting, Tendering, and Contract Administration.
• Excellent analytical skills with expertise in cost risk management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams.
